Frequently Asked Questions

We often get asked a variety of questions about our services. Below are some of the most common ones, along with insights to help you make informed decisions when it comes to your landscaping needs.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?*

Our pricing is competitive, and we stand behind our rates as offering the best value for the quality of work provided.

General Yard Clean-up:

  • Rate: $144 per hour with a minimum of 4 hours (one-way travel included)*
  • Additional Costs: Materials and specialized equipment are extra.*

What to Expect:

  • A typical service call will be based on a specific scope of work identified by you.
  • Our crew consists of 2-3 experienced landscapers, working for a minimum of 4 hours per day.
  • Includes 1 yard of debris removal & haul ($40 per additional yard).*
  • If extra supplies, equipment, or time are needed, we’ll notify you in advance about the added costs.
  • All materials and parts used are of commercial/professional grade and meet landscaping industry standards.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We focus on building a personal connection with each client to ensure we understand your needs and your property. Our process begins by getting to know you, your style, and your budget. We also consider your preferences for chemical-free landscaping and any pets, as these details are important for creating the perfect environment for you.

Each garden has its own personality, whether it’s a low-maintenance native garden, a traditional English garden, or a custom blend. We’ll discuss both your short-term and long-term goals, which helps us save you money, especially when planning for future installations like irrigation systems that can be expanded over time.

As a small family-owned business, relationships are important to us, and your satisfaction is our top priority. We’re excited to work with you!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

We are passionate about continued education for ourselves and our team. We currently teach landscaping at the community college to help nurture skill development in our field. Our family has held a professional landscaping license for almost 30 years, bringing generations of hands-on experience in tree farming and commercial berry farming to our work.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Both owners have a lifetime of practical knowledge, which is supplemented by our commitment to ongoing education. We actively pursue industry-relevant educational opportunities to stay ahead of the curve, ensuring we can offer the most effective landscaping solutions to our clients.

What types of customers have you worked with?

We’ve worked with a wide variety of clients, including residential, commercial, and governmental customers. This diverse experience allows us to tailor our services to meet the unique needs of each client, ensuring the best results for every project.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

One recent project we're especially proud of involved designing and building a retaining wall along a city street in Sandy, with a 12” setback. We used decorative river rock in the setback to enhance the visual appeal. The entire project was completed in just 2 days with our dedicated crew, ensuring both quality and efficiency.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

When hiring a landscaping provider, it’s essential to compare the full scope of work, not just the price. Opting for the cheapest option can lead to hidden risks, especially when it comes to things like irrigation system installation. Hiring a licensed professional ensures the job is done right. Improper installations can cause costly damage and even unsafe situations. We often fix poorly installed systems that were made with low-quality materials, and these repairs can be both expensive and time-consuming. Prioritize quality and experience for long-lasting, reliable results.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Before reaching out to a professional, it’s helpful to consider these questions:

  1. What is my budget? Knowing your budget helps professionals offer solutions that align with your price range.
  2. What are my short-term and long-term goals? Understanding if you’re seeking immediate changes or planning for future growth will help guide your project.
  3. What is the style or aesthetic I want? Whether you want a low-maintenance native garden or a more formal design, defining your style ensures alignment with the professional’s work.
  4. Are there any environmental preferences or constraints? Consider if you need chemical-free solutions or if you have pets that may affect plant choices.
  5. What kind of maintenance do I want? Think about how much time you want to spend on upkeep to help determine the scope of the project.

Thinking through these questions will help you communicate your needs clearly and ensure you get the best results from your landscaping project.

We hope this helps! If you have any other questions or want to get started with your landscaping project, feel free to reach out to us. We're here to help!
